Rockin’ Cars & Stripes

Adding to the illusion that you’ve gone Stateside for the weekend, the great entertainment at Cars & Stripes will include live music and dancing.

The Rockingham Stage will be rockin’ all weekend to the sound of the American beat, while visitors will be able to show their appreciation and get down to the groove on the dance floor situated in front of the stage.

Rusti Steel & the Star Tones

We’re delighted to welcome back Rusti and his band to Cars & Stripes for the second year running.  Rusti Steel & the Star Tones always wow the audience wherever they play with their blend of authentic 50s Rockabilly, Rock’n’Roll, and Western Swing/Country Boogie, with a little bit of steel thrown in occasionally to spice up the Western Swing jivin’ sounds.  A real hit last year, you’ll find Rusti Steel and the Star Tones on the Cars & Stripes Live stage on Saturday, July 2.  In the meantime check out their Facebook page:

Hire ‘em Fire ‘em

Another returning favourite for 2016 is Hire ‘em Fire ‘em.  An established Rhythm & Blues outfit, punching out their versions of tracks from Stevie Ray Vaughn through to the cool of the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Again you can rock out to these guys at the Cars & Stripes Live stage on Saturday and Sunday but why not check them out at here:

The Retrobaits

“Traditional rockabilly sound balanced with freshness and energy” as acclaimed by Easy Ed’s Variety Hour blog, Boston, Massachusetts (USA).  The Retrobaits, based in Daventry, are David Yates (guitar and lead vocals), Stuart Bates (upright bass and backing vocals), and Darren Webb (drums and backing vocals). They play covers and originals and have also recorded four songs that are available on limited-edition CD release. See them on our Cars & Stripes Live stage on July 2/3, and in the meantime check out the band’s Facebook page for more information:
