Cars & Stripes

The star spangled banner flew high over Rockingham Motor Speedway last summer for Cars & Stripes, the Northamptonshire venue’s inaugural all-American auto festival.

Showcasing all things Americana, the event brought together all the razzmatazz from across the pond to the home of the UK’s only-banked Oval Circuit. Despite the typical bank holiday weather, Cars & Stripes received rave reviews from visitors of all ages.

This year’s event is set to be much bigger and louder with more action-packed family-friendly entertainment both on and off track being held over two full days. An array of American beauties representing all sections of the automobile world from across the decades, will be taking part in the vehicle displays and track parades. From Hot Rods to Harley-Davidsons, vintage classics to modern masters, racing machines to towering trucks, there is sure to be something for everyone at Cars & Stripes!

Home of the only UK NASCAR-style experience, there will be the opportunity to get behind the wheel or ride shotgun in a genuine US racing thoroughbred, travelling double the national speed limit within touching distance of the infamous Rockingham wall. Or for those who prefer the American classics, Car Chase Heroes will be back providing driving experiences in a range of classic and contemporary cars, many made famous in movies.

The Pickup Truck Racing Series will be back to headline the racing action with Mark Willis looking to defend his Rockingham 100 title. A firm favourite with the home crowd, drivers will battle it out at breath-taking speeds to be crowned 2016 champion.

Away from the track, the fun continues with live music on the Cars & Stripes stage, monster trucks rides and demonstrations, air displays, stunt show, wrestling, family entertainment, children’s fun fair rides and attractions, trade stands and American-themed food & drink outlets, including the Rockingham Diner.
